How To Write Blog Posts with ChatGPT (And Why You Shouldn’t)

Are you a blogger? If so, you may be considering writing blog posts using ChatGPT. I share your thoughts and have experimented with various prompts and techniques to generate blog posts.

It is quick and easy to generate articles on ChatGPT, but when you read them, you will notice that they lack emotions, facts, and the latest information. It is not helpful for real users.

If you want to generate a perfect blog post that looks human-written and passes the AI detectors, here are the steps that you need to follow. Let’s get started.

Creating Blog Posts with ChatGPT

Currently, ChatGPT has a new model called 4o, which is more powerful and fast than 3.5. I used the 4o model to write a post titled “Will AI be a danger in the future?” and make it human-like.

I used this prompt:

Write a blog post titled “Will AI be a danger in the future?” Use simple, easy-to-read English words. Don’t write long paragraphs; write short ones. Write in a proper structure using headings and subheadings. Add bullet points, quotes, etc.

It wrote a blog post, but all the sections were written using bullet points. Then, I wrote, “Don’t write all in bullet points. use short paragraphs.” and it generated the article.

When I checked the article in the AI detector, it failed and was detected as content written by AI. We need to make it pass this test.

Now, let’s give it another prompt:

Paraphrase the complete post. Remove any fluff words. Replace hard words with simple words.

It has now rewritten the blog post in very simple language that anyone can read. I checked on the AI detector, and it passed the test! The content appears to be human.

Also, if you read the article, it looks like it was written by humans and not AI. ChatGPT has improved a lot because the older models were unable to generate content of this quality.

Another method to humanize content is using QuillBot. I added the article to QuillBot and paraphrased it in simple mode.

The paraphrased content also passes the AI detection test.

Why Should You Avoid AI Content?

You might say that generating articles with ChatGPT is easy and free; then why should I work hard and spend my time writing them? If you think like this, you are wrong. I’ve shared some points to help you understand.

No Original Content

AI is developed by feeding information that is already available on the internet. So, it just copies the content and writes for you. Some parts of the text generated may be plagiarized. The article isn’t original.

There might be others who will generate blog posts on the same topic that you chose. ChatGPT will produce similar (or even the same) content for all of them. There will be nothing unique about all of them.

Contains Wrong Information

AI can make factual errors, especially on complex topics. It may write the wrong information, and you won’t even know it. This means you would need to manually check the content and edit all the mistakes.

No Personal Touch

AI lacks emotions and fails to connect with the reader. If users discover that your blog post was written by AI, they are unlikely to return to your blog. People want real content from real humans, not some computer.

AI can’t copy the creativity, personal insights, humor, and experiences that human writers bring to the table. Whichever AI model you use to generate an article, it will never compare to a human writer.

Conclusion

I think you have now understood that AI content is of no use if you want to do serious blogging. Still, if you want to use AI, follow the steps written in this post, and you will get some good-quality articles. After all, AI saves our time.
